$1.5 Million for Into Mischief Colt at KEESEP

Nicky Drion Thoroughbreds enjoyed a seven-figure score for a colt born and raised on the farm when Hip 460, a colt by Into Mischief out of Taste Like Candy (Candy Ride {Arg}), fetched $1.5-million from Spendthrift Farm & Epic Horses during the opening session of Book 2 at Keeneland September. The G1SP Taste Like Candy is already the dam of MSW & GSP Valentine Candy (Justify), also a Drion sales graduate.

The Into Mischief colt was bred by Ben Lengacher’s Pine Creek LP.

“We were quietly confident going in,” Drion told the TDN. “He is a late April foal and for a while he was a little behind the ball. But in the last month and a half, he really kicked in.”
